I’m loving these handmade, hardwearing denim pinafores by a relatively new label, Oxfordshire based Little Fish. The gorgeous chunky buttons hide practical velcro fastenings, plus the linings, cute pocket, and matching handbags which can be turned quickly into little backpacks, make these a firm favourite at Style Bambino. They’re sized for age 3 so smaller toddlers do miss out – extend the wear by wearing as a tunic over leggings.
Every item is unique and is numbered for authenticity. They’re normally £39.99 each and as part of the January sales bonanza at Dinky Inc, you can get 40% off with the code JAN2010, which can also be used across other clothing.

I’m a big fan of cool online kids boutique Peace and Jam, which stocks brands such as I Love Gorgeous, American Outfitters, Bonnie Baby, Mini Rodini, Quincy, Kik*Kid, Essentiel, Finger in the Nose, Rock Your Baby, Molo, Katvig and Lee.
Style Bambino readers get an extra 10% off with the code BAMBINO10 and the offer lasts until the end of 26/01/10. Woohoo!
Loving the Kik*Kid hooded jacket in a chocolaty, retro brown, contrasting lining, and cool red and white striped ribbed waistband and it’s currently reduced from £65 to £39 although it’s sadly only in sizes 3 and 6 months. There’s also more red and white stripes by Katvig with their fabulous organic onesie (also available in a brown colourway) which is reduced from £23 to £12.50 in 6, 9, and 12 months.
Move fast for the hot bargains! Enjoy!

I’m a mega fan of Hackney based designer Christa Davis who makes a lot of her clothing ranges from recycled fabrics. Loving these peak hats made from reclaimed cashmere and lined in equally reclaimed Liberty silk fabrics, for a bit of luxe in this cold weather. Available in sizes 6 and 12 months from Amamakids. £12 each although currently reduced to £10.

I’m always on the lookout for organic clothing with interest as I tend to find a lot of them either boring, bland, or scarily overpriced. I actually saw the line of organic, ethical clothing featuring endangered species by Animal Tails, a few months back at Bubble, the kids fashion trade show, and what caught my eye were the strong graphics.
Ethically produced, certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standard, and donating 1% of their net profits to the Africat Foundation which works to protect some of the most endangered species in southern Africa, Animal Tails have a range of baby rompers and t-shirts featuring heir cool screenprinted illustrations of various endangered species, such as a ring tailed lemur (top and my favourite), the Siamese crocodile, and the Asian elephant, plus the label tells the story of the animal’s plight. This is clothing with a strong message.
Starting from £15.95 for a romper and £16.50 for a t-shirt. Also check their stockists which include Lula Sapphire and Mimimyne.

I’m quite the fan of Brit kidswear label Toby Tiger – the bambino wears their dinosaur wellies everywhere plus she has their flower patterned raincoat and the baby was gifted with a couple of their sleepsuits. Now I’m loving their appliqued tops with looks like the distinctly retro shooting star top and the bang on trend robot on stripes. Made from 100% organic cotton and available in several other styles including a dinosaur, cat, and an apple, plus you can also get sleepsuit versions. Sizes start from 6-12 months up to 5 years in the tops. £17.99 each and also available at various stockists including Juicytots and Little Sunflowers.

A couple of weeks back, I ran a preview of the spring/summer 2010 from Danish superbrand Katvig over on Bambino Goodies. As shown in the pic above, expect fresh greens, turquoise, icecream shades, bold and eclectic prints, plus cool denims including their new grow-fit denim denim dungarees which you could have two children wearing (say a couple of years apart), and have them worn as dungarees, turned up for the younger tot, and remove the top part to make jeans for the older child. I’m also lusting after a pair of their canvas shoes which are bound to be a hit when spring finally arrives.
But until then, here are just a few of the hot pieces from Katvig to take you through winter with the majority of them reduced in the Christmas sales – hurrah!

Purple Cord Dress
A classic piece from Katvig that gets a print or fabric update each season, it features a pleated bib front, contrast trim and button detail in fantastic tangerine along with feature pockets. £38 Sparkle & Spin – I spotted it in the sale at Yellow Lolly for £21.30
Superwash Wool Jumper
Kativig have resurrected this chunky knit piece for a gorgeous white, brown, and blue return with tangerine buttons. £40.50 Yellow Lolly, now £24.30

Whilst All About The Boys is a specialist online retailer of preppy clothing for boys by the likes of Ralph Lauren at affordable prices, as usual the girls manage to get a look in with these bold spot handmade dresses from America.
Before you panic about the winter chill and the pretty ribbon ties, your little one should work these dresses with, for example, a shirt, top, or poloneck and their prerequisite tights, and then they can go it alone with the dress when (more like ‘if’) we get some decent weather next summer. They can also be worn as tunic tops when they outgrow the dress style. £16.50 in sizes 2-3 and 3-4 years.
